Taramps T 16000 CHIPEO

The Taramps T 16000 CHIPEO is an uncompromisingly powerful 1-channel amplifier for car audio systems with extremely high power requirements. With an output power of up to 16,000 watts RMS into 1 ohm, this monoblock is particularly well-suited for high-power subwoofer and SPL systems, but thanks to its wide frequency range of 5 Hz to 5 kHz, it can also be used for powerful woofer and midbass applications.

At a supply voltage of 14.4 volts, the T 16000 CHIPEO delivers 16,000 watts RMS into 1 ohm and an additional 9,920 watts RMS into 2 ohms. The input sensitivity can be adjusted between 220 mV and 4 V, allowing for precise adaptation to different signal sources and preamp outputs.

To ensure a reliable power supply, the amplifier features dual power connections, each rated for cable cross-sections of up to 70 mm² (2/0 AWG). Due to its enormous output power, the T 16000 CHIPEO places correspondingly high demands on the vehicle’s power supply. Taramps recommends a fuse rating of 825 A as well as a sufficiently sized battery and charging infrastructure.

The integrated protection system monitors, among other things, output short circuits, excessively low output impedance, overvoltage and undervoltage, and operating temperature. In addition, LED indicators provide information on operating status, clipping, and activated protection functions. Four internal fans help cool the amplifier even under continuous heavy load.

The existing Monitor Level Remote connector allows for the optional connection of compatible Taramps accessories. This makes the T 16000 CHIPEO particularly well-suited for performance-oriented car audio installations where enormous output power and a rugged design are paramount.
