Taramps SMART 8 BASS

The Taramps SMART 8 BASS is a high-performance single-channel amplifier designed specifically to drive powerful subwoofers and sophisticated bass systems. With an output power of up to 8,000 watts RMS, this monoblock amplifier offers enormous power reserves for performance-oriented car audio and SPL applications.

One notable feature is the wide usable impedance range. Thanks to the Taramps Power Control System, the SMART 8 BASS can drive subwoofer loads between 0.5 and 2 ohms and deliver up to 8,000 watts RMS within this range. This allows for flexible implementation of various voice coil and subwoofer configurations without having to use a separate amplifier version for each impedance.

The amplifier is specifically tuned for reproducing low frequencies. Its frequency range extends down to 8 Hz, while a variable high-pass (or subsonic) filter and a variable low-pass filter allow for precise adjustment to the subwoofer system being used. In addition, a parametrically adjustable bass boost is available.

The SMART 8 BASS features rugged dual power connections for high-performance power supplies. Comprehensive protection circuits monitor the amplifier for short circuits, improper supply voltage, low load impedance, and overheating, among other things. In addition, the amplifier is compatible with the Taramps LED Clip Monitor M1 and the Monitor Level Remote.
