Taramps SMART 5 BASS

The Taramps SMART 5 BASS is a powerful 1-channel amplifier designed specifically to drive high-output subwoofers. With an output power of up to 5,000 watts RMS, this power amplifier is designed for high-end car audio and SPL systems that require high bass output and flexible impedance matching.

A key feature is its wide multi-impedance range of 0.5 to 2 ohms. Within this range, the SMART 5 BASS can deliver its full rated power of 5,000 watts RMS. The Taramps Power Control System monitors the amplifier’s operation and ensures controlled power output under various load conditions.

The power amplifier is specifically designed for the low-frequency range. The frequency response ranges from 8 to 200 Hz, while a variable high-pass/subsonic filter and a variable low-pass filter allow for precise tuning to the subwoofer and enclosure. In addition, an adjustable bass boost of up to +10 dB is available.

For high-performance power supplies, the SMART 5 BASS features generously sized terminals for power cables up to 2 x 70 mm². Comprehensive protection circuits monitor, among other things, temperature, supply voltage, output short circuits, and excessively low load impedances.
