Sundown X 15 v4

The Sundown Audio X-15 v4 is a no-compromise 38-cm subwoofer designed for high-performance car audio systems that demand high sound pressure levels, massive cone excursion, and powerful low-frequency reproduction. The fourth generation of the X Series combines a massive driver with a power handling capacity of 3,000 watts RMS and a linear Xmax of 30 mm.

Thanks to its large diaphragm area and long-throw design, the X-15 v4 can move significant volumes of air. This makes it suitable for both high-performance music systems and SPL-oriented installations. Despite its high power handling capacity, the subwoofer is not designed exclusively for short-duration peak levels; rather, when paired with a properly sized enclosure, it delivers powerful and deep bass reproduction.

Sundown Audio primarily intends the X-15 v4 for use in a bass-reflex enclosure. As a starting point, a net volume of approximately 120 liters with a tuning frequency of 32 Hz is recommended. A classic sealed enclosure is not recommended for this model.

The X-15 v4 is available with either dual 1-ohm or dual 2-ohm voice coils. This provides a variety of wiring options to optimally adapt the subwoofer to the monoblock amplifier being used or to systems with multiple subwoofers.
