Sundown X 12 v4

The Sundown Audio X-12 v4 is a no-compromise 30-cm subwoofer designed for high-performance car audio systems that prioritize high sound pressure levels, massive cone excursion, and powerful low-frequency bass. The fourth generation of the X Series was developed to withstand high electrical and mechanical loads and is particularly well-suited for performance-oriented daily-use and SPL setups.

With a power handling capacity of 3,000 watts RMS, the X-12 v4 offers enormous power reserves. Its robust drive system, combined with a particularly durable voice coil, ensures controlled movement of the diaphragm even at high volume levels. The linear Xmax of 30 mm ensures a large displacement volume and delivers powerful bass well into the low-frequency range.

The robust construction, the high-performance cooling system, and the suspension designed for high excursion make the X-12 v4 particularly well-suited for bass systems where conventional subwoofers quickly reach their mechanical limits.

Sundown Audio recommends a bass-reflex enclosure for the X-12 v4 with a net volume of approximately 2.5 ft³ / 70.8 liters and a tuning frequency of around 32 Hz. This allows for a combination of powerful low bass and a very high output level.
