Sundown X 10 v4

The Sundown Audio X-10 v.4 is a 10-inch subwoofer built without compromise for high-performance car audio and SPL systems. Despite its comparatively compact cone area, the X-10 v.4 is designed to handle enormous electrical and mechanical loads and achieves a power handling capacity of 3,000 watts RMS.

The massive motor unit and the design, which is optimized for high excursion, enable a linear cone excursion of 30 mm (Xmax). This allows the X-10 v.4 to move large volumes of air even at very high volume levels. The subwoofer really shines in high-performance bass-reflex systems, combining high sound pressure levels with deep bass response.

Sundown Audio recommends a bass-reflex enclosure for the X-10 v.4 with a net volume of approximately 42.5 liters, a tuning frequency of 32 Hz, and a port area of about 155 cm². The manufacturer does not recommend a classic sealed enclosure for this model.

The X-10 v.4 is available as a D1 version with 2 × 1-ohm voice coils and as a D2 version with 2 × 2-ohm voice coils. This allows the subwoofer to be flexibly adapted to a variety of high-power mono power amplifiers and multi-woofer systems.
