Sundown U-12 V.2

The Sundown Audio U-12 V.2 is a powerful 12-inch subwoofer designed for car audio systems that require high sound pressure levels, deep, powerful bass, and high thermal resistance. The U Series bridges the gap between classic music subwoofers and uncompromising SPL drivers, making it ideal for performance-oriented daily-driver and competition installations.

The massive magnet system works in conjunction with a 3-inch voice coil and a sophisticated motor cooling system. Multiple ventilation channels effectively dissipate the heat generated during operation from the drive. Additional short-circuit rings in the magnet system support controlled drive operation and reduce unwanted distortion.

To withstand high mechanical loads, Sundown Audio relies on a particularly sturdy cast aluminum basket, a double-stitched surround, and heavy-duty connection wires. With a linear Xmax of 30 mm, the U-12 V.2 also offers enormous headroom for large cone excursions.

The subwoofer was designed specifically for compact bass-reflex and bandpass enclosures and combines high power handling with the powerful bass sound characteristic of Sundown Audio.
