The Sundown Audio SA Classic 12" combines the proven design of the legendary SA series with high power handling, powerful deep bass, and a driver engineered for performance-oriented car audio applications. This 30-cm subwoofer is suitable for both high-output everyday systems and setups that require high volume levels and a robust bass foundation.

At the heart of the SA Classic is the 2.5-inch voice coil, which is designed to withstand high thermal loads thanks to its high-temperature-resistant voice coil wire. A solid cast aluminum basket provides the necessary mechanical stability, while the multi-layer Nomex suspension system guides the diaphragm precisely even during large excursions.

The driver features a large aluminum Faraday ring that reduces unwanted inductance effects, thereby contributing to controlled and low-distortion sound reproduction. With a linear Xmax of 19 mm, the SA Classic offers sufficient cone excursion to generate high sound pressure levels even at low frequencies.

Thanks to its specifications, the SA Classic offers great versatility. Sundown Audio designs the woofer for use in sealed and bass-reflex enclosures as well as bandpass configurations. This makes it suitable for compact, tightly controlled bass solutions as well as for systems optimized for deep bass and high volume.
