The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Sundown Audio SA Classic 10″ combines high power handling with powerful low-frequency bass and a comparatively compact enclosure. The 25-cm subwoofer is based on the proven SA platform and is suitable for both performance-oriented car audio systems and installations where powerful bass is required in a limited space.

The robust drive system features a specially developed 2.5-inch voice coil and a durable, double-layered Nomex suspension. A high-temperature-resistant voice coil and the stitched XL connection leads ensure that the woofer operates reliably even at high continuous power levels.

For the diaphragm, Sundown Audio uses a robust, competition-grade paper diaphragm. The sturdy die-cast aluminum basket holds the entire drive system precisely in place. A large aluminum Faraday cage inside the motor reduces unwanted distortion and promotes a more even frequency response.

With a linear Xmax of 19 mm, the SA Classic 10″ offers impressive cone excursion. At the same time, the subwoofer is versatile and can be used in sealed, bass-reflex, and bandpass enclosures.
