Sundown SA 15 V3

The Sundown Audio SA-15 V.3 is a powerful 15-inch subwoofer from the proven SA series, designed for applications that require high sound pressure levels, powerful low-frequency bass, and high mechanical durability. With a 1,500-watt RMS power handling capacity, a linear cone excursion of 22 mm Xmax, and its robust driver, the SA-15 V.3 is suitable for both performance-oriented daily-use systems and demanding SPL-oriented car audio installations.

The robust design combines a Competition paper cone with a durable foam surround and a high-performance motor system. The generously sized voice coil and targeted ventilation of the driver aid heat dissipation during prolonged heavy use. At the same time, the large possible cone excursion ensures that the SA-15 V.3 can move enormous volumes of air even at high volume levels.

Special attention was paid to ensuring controlled drive. The SA-15 V.3 incorporates Faraday elements in its motor system, which reduce unwanted distortion and promote a smoother acoustic response. Robust connection terminals and its durable construction make this subwoofer an excellent choice for high-performance bass setups.

The SA-15 V.3 is available with either 2 × 2-ohm (D2) or 2 × 4-ohm (D4) voice coils, allowing it to be flexibly adapted to various mono power amplifiers and system configurations.
