The Sundown Audio SA-12 V3 is a high-performance 30-cm subwoofer designed for car audio systems that require high volume levels, powerful low-frequency bass, and high mechanical durability. The third generation of the SA series has been further developed compared to its predecessor, particularly in terms of cone excursion, voice coil guidance, and linearity.

With a power handling capacity of 1,500 watts RMS and a linear cone excursion of 22 mm (one-way), the SA-12 V3 offers ample headroom for performance-oriented systems. The 2.75"-voice coil uses high-temperature-resistant copper wire on an aluminum voice coil former, allowing generated heat to be efficiently dissipated.

The robust drive system features a powerful magnet system with a ventilated magnetic gap and additional ventilation channels in the pole piece. Faraday rings in the drive system promote controlled electromagnetic behavior and reduce inductance effects. The suspension, designed for high excursion, features a wide centering spider and dual, stitched XL connection wires.

A rugged paper cone with a sturdy foam surround, along with the specially engineered aluminum basket, ensures the necessary stability at high volume levels. This makes the SA-12 V3 suitable for both powerful everyday audio systems and performance-oriented bass and SPL setups
