Sundown E12 V.4

The Sundown Audio E-12 v.4 is a powerful 30-cm subwoofer from the E-Series, designed specifically for high-impact bass applications in vented enclosures. The fourth generation combines a powerful dual-magnet driver with a durable 2.5-inch voice coil and a high linear cone excursion.

With a linear Xmax of 14 mm in one direction, the E-12 v.4 can move large volumes of air even at high sound levels. The ventilated design of the magnetic gap and pole piece aids in heat dissipation from the voice coil. A high-temperature-resistant, four-layer copper voice coil further ensures high thermal endurance.

To ensure the necessary mechanical stability, Sundown Audio uses a high-strength steel basket and a sturdy poly-cotton centering spider. The centering spider is not only glued in place but also screwed to the basket. Stitched Mini-XL tinsell strands reduce mechanical stress on the connection wires during large diaphragm excursions.

The E-12 v.4 is particularly well-suited for car audio systems that require powerful low-frequency bass, high sound pressure levels, and a rugged design. Sundown Audio strongly recommends this subwoofer for use in bass-reflex enclosures.
