Viper - 3 MM

The Comfort Mat VIPER 3 MM is a high-quality aluminum-butyl sound-deadening mat designed for professional vehicle sound deadening. It was specifically developed to permanently reduce sheet metal vibrations, resonance, and disruptive vibrations. Thanks to the combination of a high-performance butyl polymer layer and a sturdy aluminum foil, the mat simultaneously increases the rigidity of the body panels and significantly improves the vehicle’s acoustic properties.

With its light weight, strong adhesive properties, and excellent damping performance, the VIPER 3 MM is ideal for demanding car audio projects as well as for general noise reduction in vehicles. The mat is water-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and can be applied directly to metal and plastic surfaces. As a primary sound-deadening layer, it provides the optimal foundation for additional sound absorbers or sound-deadening materials such as acoustic foam or closed-cell foam.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Thoroughly clean the surface and completely degrease it.
2. Cut the insulation mat to size and remove the protective film.
3. Place the mat directly on the clean sheet metal. At low ambient temperatures, slightly warming the body or the mat can make installation easier, but this is not usually necessary.
4. Next, use a pressure roller to press the mat down evenly and firmly until it lies flat across the entire surface.
5. For maximum sound insulation, cover as large an area of the metal surface as possible—either completely or over a large portion of it—and then, if necessary, apply a second layer of sound absorbers or acoustic foam.
