Extreme Pro Max - 8 MM

The Comfort Mat Extreme Pro Max 8 mm was developed for applications where conventional aluminum-butyl insulation mats reach their limits. Thanks to its multi-layer construction consisting of special butyl polymers, a bitumen layer, and aluminum reinforcement on both sides, it achieves exceptionally high stiffness and outstanding vibration damping. This makes it particularly suitable for vehicle areas subject to extreme resonance and high mechanical loads.

As the first layer of sound deadening applied directly to the body panel, Extreme Pro Max effectively reduces structure-borne noise and prevents large sheet metal surfaces from resonating. Especially in high-performance car audio systems, SPL vehicles, or heavily loaded wheel wells, it ensures significantly greater body rigidity and creates the optimal foundation for additional damping or absorption layers.

Due to its high material thickness and exceptionally high mechanical loss factor, it is particularly well-suited for applications where maximum damping performance is required and the additional weight is deliberately accepted.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Completely disassemble the vehicle section and expose the bare sheet metal.
2. Thoroughly clean the surface and then degrease it with silicone remover or isopropyl alcohol.
3. Cut the insulation mat to size.
4. Before installation, warm the mat to about 50 °C so that the material conforms optimally to the vehicle's contours and achieves its maximum adhesive strength.
5. Remove the protective film and place the mat on the sheet metal.
6. Using a pressure roller, roll evenly and firmly from the center outward until there are no more air pockets.
7. If necessary, closed-cell foam or sound-absorbing materials can then be applied as a second layer.
