Musway MG6.2C

Discerning music lovers are increasingly opting for MUSWAY products. The amplifiers in particular, whether with or without integrated DSP, are ideally suited to the highest demands. With the new high-end MG loudspeakers, MUSWAY is now opening another chapter for award-winning products, but this time in the loudspeaker sector. First things first: the MG6.3A was immediately and brilliantly named "BEST PRODUCT" in the trade magazine Car & Hifi 06/2021. The editors were particularly impressed by the sensationally low distortion of the speakers, which "are among the cleanest of recent years".

The 16.5 cm bass-midrange driver alone is a feast for the eyes. With very narrow struts, the high-quality aluminum basket ensures optimum ventilation behind the centering. A beautifully turned and nickel-plated T-plate also ventilates the voice coil through several ventilation openings, which virtually eliminates overheating. This means that the door loudspeaker can also reproduce high levels over a longer period of time without distortion. The high level is achieved, among other things, by the 13.4 mm long winding height of the voice coil, which ensures a large linear excursion of the diaphragm. The above-average 13.7 ounce Y30 quality magnetic drive unit is protected by a rubber boot.

Another technical HIGHLIGHT is the very complex sandwich cone. In this case, this means that the top layer of ultra-thin aluminum is "bonded" to the layer below, which in turn is made of lightweight paper. This achieves very efficient damping. The result is a linear frequency response up to 5000 Hz without peaks.

One of the best tweeters on the market is the MG6.2T. Equipped with a 26 mm silk dome tweeter and coupling volume, the tweeter can not only be used below 2000 Hz, it even plays very linearly up to over 25,000 Hz. This great performance earned it an extremely rare 1+ rating in the "distortion" discipline (C&H 6/2021).

The small, easy-to-install 7.5 cm midrange driver with neodymium magnet and fixed phase plug made of solid aluminum is also extremely elegant. Incredible: it can be used from 200 Hz to over 18 kHz. With this data, it is even suitable as a full range driver, which also works well without a tweeter. A real highlight.
