Musway MG6.2A

The Musway MG6.2A is a high-quality 16.5 cm (6.5") 2-way component system from the MG high-end series, designed specifically for fully active operation with multichannel amplifiers or DSP power amplifiers. Featuring meticulously engineered mid-bass drivers, precise 26 mm silk dome tweeters, and high-quality materials, the system delivers exceptionally detailed, dynamic, and low-distortion music reproduction.

The 16.5 cm MG6.2W mid-bass drivers feature sturdy die-cast aluminum baskets with narrow struts that allow for optimal ventilation of the suspension. In addition, a nickel-plated T-plate with multiple ventilation openings ensures effective cooling of the voice coil. The 13.4 mm-high voice coil winding enables a large linear cone excursion and high power handling. The powerful Y30 magnetic drive, with a magnet weight of 13.7 ounces, is protected by a rubber sleeve.

A key feature is the innovative aluminum-paper sandwich diaphragm. It combines an ultra-thin layer of aluminum with a lightweight paper diaphragm, thereby achieving high rigidity while effectively damping resonance. The result is precise and balanced sound reproduction with a linear frequency response up to 5,000 Hz.

The included MG6.2T tweeters feature a 26-mm silk dome, a neodymium driver, and a rear-mounted resonance chamber. They deliver exceptionally detailed high-frequency reproduction up to 30,000 Hz with extremely low distortion. In a test by the trade magazine *Car & Hifi* (June 2021), the tweeter received an outstanding grade of 1+ in the distortion category.

The MG6.2A comes without passive crossovers and is ideal for high-end DSP-controlled car audio systems with custom frequency separation, time alignment, and sound tuning.
