The new MG subwoofers fit perfectly into this philosophy, because they show what they are made of just by looking at them. As soon as the attractive packaging is opened, the sturdy protective grille immediately catches the eye. There is no need to search for suitable protection, as this is already included in the scope of delivery. However, the visual highlight of every MG woofer is undoubtedly the newly designed, elegantly crafted cast aluminum basket with its filigree struts and large ventilation windows behind the centering. The professional already suspects here that the double magnets fitted can reproduce any type of bass perfectly.

Not only the initial appearance is impressive, the technology in detail is also impressive: All woofers are characterized by a particularly long and even cone excursion. In the case of the MG12, this is up to +/- 22 mm, i.e. a total excursion of an impressive 44 mm is possible! This enormous excursion is controlled by specially shaped dual spiders made of polycotton, whose properties have been continuously optimized by MUSWAY sound engineers in laboratory and sound tests. The moving mass (Mms) has also been kept low by using copper-clad aluminum voice coils (CCAW). All these measures result in very favorable Thiele/Small parameters, so that the subwoofers are also very well suited for closed cabinets. The MG10 stands out here, with a speaker volume of 25 liters, playing deep and clean bass down to 43 Hz (-3 dB). Anyone who places great value on high impulse fidelity and cleanliness should opt for this variant.

Those who like it fuller at the bottom should opt for bass reflex designs. Due to their design, these can produce even deeper bass by using the air in the cabinet with a specially tuned reflex channel. This is where all three subwoofers unfold their potential and are easily capable of playing below 30 Hz.
