The powerhouse for simple OEM integrations
The new UP 8DSP is a true all-rounder that not only delivers unbridled power and dynamics for real hi-fi sound, but also has all the prerequisites on board for easy integration into the vehicle.

Seamless connection
With its six high-level inputs, an optical digital input, the MATCH extension card slot and many intelligent technologies, such as the proprietary ADEP.3 circuit, the UP 8DSP is optimally equipped for seamless adaptation to existing multi-channel sound systems.
Furthermore, thanks to the powerful 9-channel DSP, individual speaker configurations can also be realized with the total of eight amplifier channels and the additional preamplifier output. Two power amplifier channels, each with 160 W sine wave power at 2 ohms, deliver plenty of power to give even large subwoofers a boost.


Virtual Channel Processing - how signal routing works today
Optimum adaptation to existing multi-channel sound systems makes sensible management and configuration of the many DSP channels in the amplifier essential - so there was no question that the UP 8DSP was also equipped with Audiotec Fischer's innovative Virtual Channel Processing.
Especially when the front, rear and center systems are split into different active multi-way systems, conventional routing concepts quickly reach their limits in terms of implementation and operability. The multi-stage "Virtual Channel Processing", in conjunction with the recognized user-friendly DSP PC-Tool software, makes it possible to easily map even highly complex system configurations and freely assign our proprietary FX sound features.

In addition, thanks to its generous number of channels, the UP 8DSP, in conjunction with the optional MEC ANALOG IN module, is also an ideal candidate for applications where 1 to 1 routing (IOR) is required.

ACO - Advanced 32 Bit CoProcessor platform
The UP 8DSP is of course equipped with the proprietary 32 Bit ACO platform - this not only handles all control tasks ultra-fast, but also offers a whole bundle of audio functions: Fantastic sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing or RealCenter are implemented as well as a channel-separated Input EQ including Input Signal Analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of input signals from OE radios, which already include a sound setup ex works.

Compact format
Despite a wide range of functions and a concentrated output of 6 x 65 at 4 ohms plus 2 x 90 / 160 watts at 4 / 2 ohms, the UP 8DSP MATCH comes in an extremely compact design, as is customary, so that it can be installed without any problems even in confined spaces.

· Special features

Class GD technology
Audiotec Fischer's unique Class GD concept combines the advantages of Class G technology with the principle of a Class D amplifier. This results in an unusually high level of efficiency that surpasses conventional Class D amplifiers. The Class GD concept demonstrates its advantages at low and medium levels by varying the internal supply voltage of the power stages in stages depending on the amplitude of the input signal. This drastically reduces the average power loss generated by the amplifier.

ACO - Advanced 32 Bit CoProcessor
The ACO platform (Advanced CoProcessor) handles all control and communication tasks within the DSP system. It ensures extremely fast system start-ups, lightning-fast switching between up to ten sound setups and smooth, delay-free data communication with the DSP PC-Tool software.

In addition, ACO forms the basis for numerous additional functions - including our SFX sound effects such as "Augmented Bass Processing" and "RealCenter", functions such as Dynamic Loudness Control (DLC) and Remote Tone Control (RTC) as well as a channel-separated input EQ with integrated Advanced Input Signal Analyzer (AISA) for simple analysis and correction of input signals that already include factory equalization. ACO therefore stands for maximum performance, flexibility and future-proofing.

Intelligent high-level input ADEP.3
Modern, factory-fitted car radios are becoming increasingly intelligent in terms of diagnosing the connected speakers. The latest generation in particular is equipped with additional monitoring functions so that error messages or even malfunctions can occur if an additional amplifier is connected. The ADEP.3 circuit (generation 3) meets the latest requirements of modern OEM car radios and ensures error-free integration. Controlled via the ACO platform, the system is designed to be future-proof and can react flexibly to future changes in the diagnostic systems of factory radios. This ensures maximum compatibility with almost all OE radios - without any unnecessary load on the speaker outputs at high levels.

Power save mode
The power save mode is used to reduce the power consumption of the amplifier (and any additional connected amplifiers) if no music signal is detected for a certain period of time.
If the power save mode is activated, the internal amplifier stages and the remote output switch off automatically. If a music signal is then present again, the device returns to normal operation within approx. 2 seconds.
The switch-off delay can be varied or completely deactivated using the DSP PC-Tool software.

Automatic Digital Signal Detection
The amplifier allows signal-controlled switching between the analog and digital inputs. As soon as an audio signal is detected at the optical input, the amplifier switches to this input. This function can be activated in the DSP PC-Tool software or, alternatively, manual control can be selected using an optionally available remote control.

Start-stop capability
The power supply unit in the MATCH UP 8DSP MK2 amplifier ensures the internal power supply even in the event of short-term dips down to 6 volts. This ensures that the amplifier remains fully functional even when the engine is started.


· DSP features

TuneEQ
TuneEQ is an extremely flexible and particularly easy-to-use function for automated frequency response correction. A single measurement per respective audio channel or channel pair with a suitable measuring microphone (such as our AMI Tuning Kit) is sufficient for TuneEQ to adjust the equalizers independently and precisely to the desired reference curve. TuneEQ uses the entire range of functions of the parametric equalizer, including the mid frequency, the Q factor and the gain. And because the highly complex computing operations required for this run in the background, you also save a lot of time when tuning the sound with TuneEQ.

RealCenter
The "RealCenter" function is a proprietary algorithm from Audiotec Fischer that emphasizes the monaural information of the left and right front channels to create a unique center signal. In contrast to conventional methods, where only the channels are summed up, the center signal is also dynamically controlled by the stereophonic information content of the left and right channels. This means that the center channel does not reproduce a signal if only the left or only the right channel delivers an audio signal. With conventional algorithms, the center channel would only be 6 dB quieter in this case. Audiotec Fischer's "RealCenter" therefore enables a unique, wide-ranging soundstage - and this is optimal for both driver and front passenger! The disadvantages of a conventional center channel, such as an intrusive, narrow spatial sound presentation, are finally a thing of the past.

Augmented Bass Processing
Audiotec Fischer's proprietary "Augmented Bass Processing", consisting of two revolutionary sound features: "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" and "SubXpander". These have been specially developed to dramatically improve the bass response of subwoofers.
"Dynamic Bass Enhancement" ingeniously combines maximum low bass foundation and high maximum sound pressure - regardless of the type of music you are listening to or the sound settings on the radio. Depending on the input signal, "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" boosts the lower frequency range on the one hand and varies the cut-off frequency of the subsonic filter on the other. The result is a much more powerful, deeper bass reproduction at low and medium volumes without running the risk of mechanically or electrically overloading the subwoofer at high volumes. The bass performance that is suddenly possible is simply fascinating.
If you want the bass range to be a little deeper and "blacker", you can also activate the "SubXpander". This adds subharmonic tones to the fundamental tones in the frequency range between 50 and 100 Hz.
