Anyone who operates very powerful amplifiers in their vehicle will be familiar with the problem: when the bass hits, the nominal 12 volt on-board power supply goes "down on its knees", which is noticeable, among other things, by the flickering lighting in time with the music. The problem: Although a car battery is very powerful, it is not able to deliver fast current pulses due to its high internal resistance. However, these are needed so that very powerful amplifiers can reproduce basses dryly and cleanly.

With the new hybrid buffer capacitors from the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series, such problems are a thing of the past. Thanks to modern hybrid technology, in which an electrolytic liquid and a polymer serve as the film base, it is possible to accommodate up to 10 farads of capacitance in compact housings. At the same time, the technology ensures a very low internal series resistance (ESR) so that the power is available at lightning speed.

ZEUS EXTREME ZXT capacitors deliver the stored extra power precisely when the subwoofer amplifier IMMEDIATELY needs a lot of energy for the heavy bass punch. The energy released is then recharged from the battery in the power cap for the next attack. The capacitor can therefore buffer and smooth out voltage peaks by absorbing excess energy and releasing it again when required.

Positive side effect: The service life of a vehicle battery can be extended by using a buffer capacitor.
