HiFonics ZXT18D2

The HiFonics ZXT18D2 from the ZEUS EXTREME series was designed for extreme bass performance, massive cone excursion, and demanding SPL applications. With a 4,000-watt RMS power handling capacity, a massive triple-magnet drive, and an exceptionally durable cone design, this 18-inch subwoofer delivers the performance needed for impressive sound pressure levels.

At its heart is a powerful magnetic drive featuring three ferrite magnets with a total weight of approximately 8.5 kg. The large 100-mm dual voice coil uses a special copper-clad aluminum flat wire (pi-CCAR) that can withstand high thermal loads of up to 240 °C.

The three-layer carbon composite diaphragm combines high rigidity with comparatively low weight. A specially developed RSA (Reinforced Structure Array) surround allows for large diaphragm movements and enhances mechanical stability. Three Nomex centering spiders further ensure precise guidance of the diaphragm during extreme deflections.

The solid die-cast aluminum basket, the chrome-plated pole plate, and the sophisticated drive assembly make the ZXT18D2 a high-performance subwoofer for bass systems that demand no compromises.
