HiFonics Zeus Extreme Series
For over 35 years, HiFonics has been synonymous with EXTREME power and superlatives. Everyone knows: HiFonics stands for strength, power, and a lot of pressure. Matching the new "OVER" amplifiers from the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series with up to 13,000 watts RMS, the matching ZEUS EXTREME ZXT subwoofers are now being introduced. Particularly striking is the uniformly large triple magnet protected with blue boot in all woofers, whose ample ferrite rings alone weigh a proud 8.5 kg without the chromed steel pole plates.
The newly developed "Reinforced-Structure-Array" surrounds, reinforced with vertical elements, for the ZXT woofers also give an idea of how much excursion the carbon-reinforced membranes can achieve. These remain extremely rigid and, thanks to a triple sandwich construction, are even comparatively light. So that the membranes can play out the excursion optimally, they are guided by 3-fold executed Nomex spiders as if on rails. This ensures that even at extreme performances, the membranes do not tilt.
Thermally, too, the Zeus subwoofers are well equipped: In the 10-inch woofer, already 76 mm large coils are used, and in the 12-inch model, even gigantic 100 mm coils. With an incredible 58 mm winding height, the membranes can achieve a linear excursion of +/- 23 mm. The voice coil is made of special pi-CCAR flat wire, which is an aluminum flat wire with copper cladding, which saves weight and is also heat-resistant up to 240 degrees. All in all, ingredients that impressively demonstrate the exceptional quality of the woofers. Anyone looking for ultimate level woofers cannot ignore the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series.
