HiFonics ZXR500/1E

The ZEUS E-Class expands the proven ZXR series with state-of-the-art, highly efficient Class D models. These “Expansion” power amplifiers impress with their enormous power output in exceptionally compact heat sinks. Even at their debut in Car & Hifi (Issue 1/2025), they wowed the editorial team across the board—so much so that the series was awarded the prestigious title of PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2025.

Anyone familiar with HiFonics power amplifiers knows that they are always equipped with state-of-the-art technology and well-thought-out features. In high-end systems with multiple components, however, certain functions—such as high-level inputs—are often unnecessary. This gave rise to the idea of developing powerful monoblocks that remain stable down to 1 ohm and deliberately forgo high-level inputs in favor of higher power and efficiency.

HiFonics now offers three such ZXR/E models with remote bass level controls and power ratings of 750, 1,000, and 1,500 watts RMS, which can easily drive even large subwoofers. Equipped with the latest Infineon® chipsets, they achieve extremely high efficiency levels of up to 92%. As a result, they consume less power and are gentle on the vehicle’s electrical system. The ideal setup is to pair a monoblock with the 8-channel ZXR800/8DSP DSP amplifier from the same product line, which features a 10-channel DSP with Bluetooth control. When connected via RCA/Cinch, the ZXR/E monoblock provides the corresponding bass foundation.
