Modern vehicles use so-called sound actuators to electronically generate a powerful engine sound. These special speaker systems are often installed near the exhaust system and simulate, for example, the characteristic sound of a V6 or V8 engine. Due to extreme temperature fluctuations, constant vibrations, and mechanical stress, the installed speakers can wear out or fail over time.

The HiFonics ZEUS ZSU6AU offers a high-quality and cost-effective alternative to replacing the entire sound actuator unit. Instead of replacing the entire module, the defective original speaker can be swapped out for the specially developed HiFonics replacement speaker. The existing housing is retained, resulting in significant savings on repair costs.

The HiFonics ZSU6AU features a particularly durable fiberglass cone and a matching fiberglass dust cap. This design offers high stability and temperature resistance, even under demanding operating conditions. A specially tuned speaker surround ensures precise diaphragm movement and high power handling.

To ensure a reliable seal within the existing sound actuator housing, the speaker is equipped with a special gasket modeled after the original. This reduces unwanted resonance and allows for a precise fit during installation. The efficient driver delivers powerful and authentic sound reproduction even at relatively low power levels.
