Modern vehicles rely on sound actuators to artificially generate the powerful V6 or V8 sound and intensify the driving experience. However, these exhaust-mounted sound modules have to work under extreme conditions such as severe temperature fluctuations, constant vibrations and high loads. No wonder that the special drivers wear out over time and eventually fail. The conventional solution is expensive - the entire unit usually has to be replaced, which quickly results in high three-digit or even four-digit costs. HiFonics offers a smart alternative here: instead of replacing the entire module, only the speaker is replaced.
The robust original housing is retained. Although the procedure requires some technical skill and is more for experienced hobby mechanics, the savings are impressive: several hundred to over a thousand euros are realistic. There are also numerous helpful instructions available online that explain the replacement step by step.
By opening the sound module, the defective original speaker can be replaced with the new driver. In this way, the function remains fully intact - with considerable cost savings compared to the original replacement part.
The HiFonics special loudspeaker impresses with its robust technical design. A high-temperature-resistant glass fiber cone and a corresponding glass fiber dust cap ensure maximum stability and the longest possible service life - even under adverse conditions. The specially developed sealing gasket was modeled on the original to ensure a clean seal in the enclosure and prevent unwanted resonances. A specially tuned special surround ensures precise cone guidance and high power handling. The efficient drive unit is designed so that the speaker produces a powerful, authentic sound even at low power - ideal for use in electronic engine sound systems.
