HiFonics VRX82A

The HiFonics VULCAN VRX82A is a compact active subwoofer that combines powerful bass reproduction with an exceptionally space-saving design. Thanks to its flat enclosure with a rounded rear, the system is ideal for installation in the spare tire well. Alternatively, the subwoofer can be set up upright in the trunk using the included rubber feet.

A distinctive feature of the VRX82A is its additional 20 cm (8") passive radiator. This assists the actively driven woofer in displacing air, thereby improving the reproduction of low frequencies. Unlike traditional bass-reflex systems, this design does not require a reflex port. This eliminates annoying airflow noise and makes efficient use of the available enclosure volume.

An integrated Class D amplifier with 200 watts RMS and up to 400 watts of peak power delivers the necessary performance. Thanks to its efficient digital technology, which achieves an efficiency of over 80%, the system provides powerful bass support with comparatively low heat generation.

The VRX82A can be optimally adapted to your existing sound system using the adjustable low-pass filter, bass boost, and phase switch. High-level and RCA inputs allow connection to both factory-installed radios and aftermarket devices. An automatic power-on function and the included bass-level cable remote control provide additional ease of use.
