The MERCURY MRX168A under-seat active subwoofer with dimensions of 26 x 19.5 cm undercuts conventional subwoofer systems of this type by several centimeters. The powerful bass produced by this small active system is guaranteed to amaze any listener. There is a very high pressure in such small enclosures during operation; standard cones would therefore be destroyed. For this reason, the MRX168A uses a special oval-shaped aluminum cone that can withstand even the highest pressures. The Class A/B amplifier used is not small at all. With a good 100 W/RMS, it has the built-in Alucone woofer with a 36 mm voice coil and powerful drive perfectly under control. Thanks to the short-circuit-proof 10-pin plug, the active system can also be removed quickly and easily if necessary.
