The Hertz SS 12 D2 was developed specifically for demanding SPL applications and impresses with its high power handling, robust construction, and impressive control even during extreme cone excursions. The combination of a generously sized 75-mm dual voice coil, a multi-reinforced suspension, and a powerful ferrite driver ensures precise, punchy bass and high long-term stability.
The lightweight, unpressed paper cone with cotton fibers combines high rigidity with low weight, enabling fast response and a dynamic low-frequency range. Thanks to the efficient cooling of the voice coil and the solid basket construction, the subwoofer remains reliable and controlled even under high continuous loads. This makes the SS 12 D2 suitable for both high-performance everyday systems and SPL and bass competition systems.
