The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The downfire enclosure design not only ensures optimum bass distribution in the vehicle, but also reliably protects the speaker. This makes it the perfect choice for space-saving installations without compromising on sound quality.
Compact and powerful
The IK E8.1's sophisticated bass reflex enclosure delivers impressive sound pressure and rich bass - even in the tightest of spaces. The 8" (200 mm) subwoofer with handmade paper cone provides powerful, low frequencies that fill the entire vehicle with rich sound.
Convenient installation and configuration
Thanks to the plug-in screw terminal, the subwoofer can be installed and removed quickly and safely. In addition, the 1 x 2 Ohm (SVC2) or 2 x 2 Ohm (DVC2) design means that the right low bass specialist can be found for every amplifier configuration to get the maximum performance out of it.
Robust and durable
The housing has a hard-wearing needle felt coating including an embroidered HELIX logo. On the one hand, this gives it a high-quality look, but also ensures that it is particularly robust. The feet with Velcro tape also guarantee a secure hold in the vehicle.
