The HELIX COMPOSE i5 Series bridges the gap between the i7 and i3, designed for discerning music lovers with a passion for a true hi-fi experience. The impedances of all speakers are perfectly matched for use with our HELIX and MATCH amplifiers, guaranteeing maximum performance and power efficiency at all times. In addition, we’ve implemented our COMPOSE-exclusive mechanical technologies, which offer unmatched practical benefits.

Precise full-range performance for demanding center-channel applications
The Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR was developed as an audiophile full-range speaker for center-channel use in high-end multi-way systems. Its wide, linear frequency response, high power handling, and large linear cone excursion enable exceptionally clear, natural, and dynamic sound and speech reproduction—even at high volume levels.
A unique feature of the Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR is its separate voice coil, which supports the vehicle’s automatic emergency call function. While one voice coil transmits the music signal, the second allows for a separate connection to the factory-installed eCall function. This allows the original center speaker to be replaced with a high-fidelity solution without having to sacrifice this vehicle function. Thanks to its significantly reduced outer diameter compared to conventional 80 mm drivers, the Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR also offers first-class integration options —for example, in tight factory mounting locations using FlexMount technology, without having to compromise on the diaphragm area. This makes it ideal for sophisticated multi-way systems, DSP-optimized setups, or vehicles where a homogeneous soundstage and compact design are equally important. In keeping with its use as a center channel speaker, the Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR is supplied as a single speaker.

Engineering Sophistication for Dynamics, Efficiency, and Low Distortion
The exceptional performance of the Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR is based on a carefully considered combination of material selection and mechanical design. The silicate-coated paper diaphragm delivers high internal damping, remarkably accurate impulse response, and suppresses unwanted resonances. The specially developed diaphragm surround—which is folded inward through a complex manufacturing process—combined with the innovative magnet system, allows for a large linear diaphragm excursion —a decisive factor for the high dynamic range and low-distortion reproduction that allow the Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR to perform with ease even at demanding volume levels. It also significantly reduces the outer diameter while simultaneously increasing the diaphragm area. The result is a compact design that delivers top-tier performance. The overall design is complemented by an aluminum dust cap to optimize the upper midrange, as well as the powerful push-pull neodymium magnet system, which—with high efficiency and minimal distortion—contributes significantly to the precise, dynamic sound characteristics of the Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR. 

Maximum Efficiency
HELIX COMPOSE stands for smart engineering and is therefore based on highly efficient 3-ohm technology, which harmonizes perfectly with all HELIX and MATCH amplifiers while delivering a clearly noticeable boost in efficiency and maximum sound pressure level.

High-Tech Polymer Composite Basket
The Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR’s speaker basket is made of a high-tech polymer composite material that has been further reinforced with glass beads. The result: maximum stability with minimal inherent resonance, while also eliminating flux modulation in the magnet system and providing maximum resistance to thermal influences. Finally, this enables significantly more compact basket dimensions, thereby simplifying installation in tight spaces.

FlexMount80 – Universal Meets Vehicle-Specific
FlexMount is a mounting system based on specially developed adapter rings that allows COMPOSE FlexMount speakers to be installed in a virtually endless number of vehicles. In the blink of an eye, the universal speaker becomes a vehicle-specific speaker that, with the appropriate FlexMount ring, can be easily and acoustically optimized for installation in the original mounting position of any vehicle. 
For even more versatile integration options, the Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR also includes the CFMK80-100 adapter ring in the package. The speaker is inserted directly into this ring and, when used in combination with the separately available FlexMount100 adapters, can also be adapted for vehicle-specific 100 mm mounting positions.

FlexConnect – One Terminal for All Situations
With the FlexConnect terminal, HELIX COMPOSE speakers can be easily connected directly to the vehicle’s original wiring harness, ensuring that the automotive standard for plug connections is maintained and providing additional protection against reverse polarity, among other benefits. Similar to our FlexMount system, vehicle-specific adapters are used here.

WireKits – Plug & Play at the Highest Level
Our WireKits make it easy to connect HELIX COMPOSE components to the original wiring harness or, if necessary, to connect speakers to the crossover. Manufactured to the high standards of the automotive industry, these lockable adapter cables meet all requirements for the harsh environmental conditions found in vehicles.
