Technically possible, but less effective. For optimum interference suppression, the capacitor should be positioned as close as possible to the source of interference – in this case, the alternator – rather than at the load.

Do I need to connect the HELIX CAP 33 to the positive terminal of the battery?

The interference suppression capacitor is connected between the positive terminal and earth. Ideally, the connection to the positive lead should be made immediately after the alternator; it does not necessarily have to be connected to the battery.

Does the CAP 33 also work with modern vehicles featuring complex electronics?

The HELIX CAP 33 is suitable for all 12V vehicle electrical systems and operates reliably even in modern vehicles. Interference suppression is achieved purely passively, without interfering with the vehicle’s electronics.
