The GROUND ZERO GZPT 28SQ is a high-quality 28-mm tweeter from the PLUTONIUM series, designed specifically for precise and detailed high-frequency reproduction. The double-coated silk dome combines high-resolution reproduction with a pleasantly natural sound character, making it particularly well-suited for high-end car audio systems that prioritize sound quality.

A key feature of the GZPT 28SQ is its solid, polished stainless steel enclosure. Inside, the tweeter operates with a damped resonance chamber and a specially designed wave diffuser. This design promotes controlled sound radiation and a uniform frequency response. Ground Zero developed the design with the goal of reducing distortion and achieving clean phase behavior across a wide frequency range.

The driver features a high-performance neodymium magnet system combined with a heavy-duty copper voice coil. As a result, this compact tweeter has a power handling capacity of 100 watts RMS and a maximum of 150 watts. The usable frequency range extends up to 30 kHz, while the resonance frequency is comparatively low at 770 Hz.

The GZPT 28SQ also features high-quality construction when it comes to installation: Gold-plated screw terminals ensure reliable connections, while the black hexagonal protective grille shields the delicate dome. With a mounting diameter of 48 mm and a mounting depth of 35 mm, the tweeter can be integrated into appropriately prepared mirror triangles, A-pillars, or custom-made speaker mounts.

The GZPT 28SQ is manufactured in Germany and is designed for users who place particular emphasis on resolution, spatial imaging, and high-quality craftsmanship in their car audio systems. The tweeters are sold as a pair.
