The Ground Zero GZPF 40SQX is a compact 40mm full-range speaker from the high-end PLUTONIUM series and is designed for demanding car audio applications that require precise and detailed reproduction in the midrange and high-frequency ranges.

A distinctive feature of the GZPF 40SQX is its anodized aluminum diaphragm. Combined with the powerful neodymium driver, this results in a compact speaker capable of covering an exceptionally wide frequency range from 600 Hz to 24 kHz. This makes the GZPF 40SQX ideal for high-quality multi-way and fully active sound systems.

With a resonance frequency of just 440 Hz, the full-range driver can be tuned to a relatively low frequency. Ground Zero even specifies a possible crossover frequency of around 900 Hz for fully active operation. This allows a single driver to reproduce a large portion of the frequency range that is particularly important for vocals and instruments. This supports uniform sound reproduction and precise spatial imaging.

In terms of design as well, the GZPF 40SQX clearly stands out from ordinary compact full-range speakers. The driver is housed in a solid, high-gloss polished stainless steel enclosure, while gold-plated screw and solder terminals ensure high-quality connections. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the speaker can be integrated, for example, into custom-built A-pillars, mirror triangles, or other installation locations with limited space.

The GZPF 40SQX is manufactured in Germany and combines high-quality materials, compact dimensions, and a very wide usable frequency range. This makes it particularly appealing for sound-quality-oriented car audio systems and high-end active systems.
