The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Ground Zero GZIC 165.2 is a 2-way component system designed to replace or upgrade stock car speakers. With its 165-mm low-midrange driver, separate 19-mm tweeter, and a power handling capacity of up to 150 watts, the system is suitable for classic car audio installations with separate mounting positions for the low-midrange driver and tweeter.

The low-midrange driver features a lightweight HQPP cone with a 3D structure. This design combines a lightweight cone with the stability needed for clean sound reproduction. A durable rubber surround supports controlled cone movement, while the low-resonance steel basket provides a solid mechanical foundation.

A 19-mm Mylar dome tweeter is used for the high-frequency range. The included 12 dB/octave high-pass filter handles the filtering for the tweeter. With a sensitivity of 91 dB and an impedance of 4 ohms, the GZIC 165.2 is highly versatile and can be used in a variety of car audio systems.

Thanks to its Euro-DIN mounting dimensions, the speaker system is suitable for a wide range of vehicle-specific installation locations. The package also includes Ground Zero protective grilles in the brand’s signature hexagonal design.
