The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Ground Zero GZHW 25XSPL from the HYDROGEN series is a powerful 25-cm SPL subwoofer designed for car audio systems that require high sound pressure levels and a rugged construction. With a power handling capacity of 1,200 watts RMS and up to 2,500 watts SPL, the 10-inch woofer provides a solid foundation for performance-oriented subwoofer setups.

To ensure the necessary stability during high cone excursion, Ground Zero relies on a solid cast aluminum basket. The reinforced paper cone combines a comparatively small moving area with the rigidity required for high-performance bass applications. A long-throw sandwich surround and the two-layer Polycot suspension ensure controlled cone movement even at high volume levels.

The driver features a 63-mm copper voice coil, while the chassis was optimized during the development process using the Klippel® measurement system. The IMPP dust cap, featuring a three-dimensional Ground Zero logo, provides a robust finish to the diaphragm design.

The GZHW 25XSPL is available in two dual-voice-coil versions. The GZHW 25XSPL-D1 has 2 × 1 ohm, while the GZHW 25XSPL-D2 has 2 × 2 ohm. This allows you to select the subwoofer that best matches your power amplifier and desired connection impedance
