The ESX VXP84G from the VISION VXP series is a high-quality 20 cm (8-inch) flat subwoofer designed specifically for powerful bass reproduction with a shallow mounting depth. With a power handling capacity of 300 watts RMS, a robust dual-magnet driver, and an exceptionally rigid fiberglass honeycomb cone, it combines high power reserves with space-saving installation options.
In developing the VXP series, ESX completely redesigned numerous components. The sturdy cast aluminum basket, the specially developed voice coil, and the multi-layer diaphragm enable a high power handling capacity despite the shallow mounting depth of just 87 mm.
The innovative honeycomb diaphragm features a honeycomb core that is exceptionally resistant to torsion and is reinforced with fiberglass on both sides. This ensures that it retains its shape even under high loads. An optimized rib design increases the usable diaphragm area by about 15% and supports powerful bass reproduction.
Power is provided by a high-performance dual-magnet system combined with a 50-mm CCAW voice coil mounted on a lightweight fiberglass frame. This design enables high thermal resistance and improved efficiency.
Thanks to its slim design, the ESX VXP84G is particularly well-suited for compact, enclosed subwoofer enclosures and space-saving car audio installations. The package includes a sturdy aluminum protective grille with an embossed ESX logo.
