Powerful and dynamic are the attributes of the new ESX VISION VX PRO beasts, whose weight of 20 kg already signals which class they play in. They subs come in sizes 10, 12, and 15 inches. With power ratings from 2,500 to 3,500 watts RMS, they also demand corresponding amplifiers. These can be found in the also new VISION VX PRO amplifier series with power ratings from 1,250 up to 13,000 watts RMS.
Only the highest quality ingredients found their way into the newly designed VX PRO models. So, all of them are built from heavy aluminum cast baskets with 3-fold magnets. Absolutely stable membranes are very important for woofers of this large caliber. That's why ESX uses the best, but also the most expensive 3-layer composite membranes made of carbon, hardened cotton, and fiberglass. The combination results in the highest stability with the lowest weight and thus withstands the enormous pressure generated by the powerful 300-ounce magnet drives. In addition, the construction is stabilized by a carbon dust cap.
In order to be able to absorb a lot of power, ESX also makes no compromises with the voice coils and already uses a 76 mm CCAR coil in the 10" model, and even 100 mm coils in the two larger models. CCAR coils are made of aluminum flat wire with copper coating, a highly resilient combination that also saves weight and thus increases efficiency. The generous winding height of 58 mm in all models allows for a linear membrane excursion of up to +/- 23 mm. Excellent!
