The VMX1201DAB is a universal 1-DIN multi-angle media receiver with an impressive 12-inch touchscreen display. Thanks to its large screen, the device offers particularly convenient control of navigation, multimedia, and smartphone apps. The volume is controlled via a large rotary knob, while eight additional function buttons provide quick access to key features.
For added theft protection, the device features a removable control panel. It connects to a smartphone via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™—either wirelessly or via a USB connection. A built-in GPS receiver ensures precise location tracking for navigation apps.
The built-in media player supports playback of audio, video, and photo files. For radio reception, the vehicle is equipped with a DAB+ digital radio (including a DAB antenna) and an FM/AM tuner with RDS functionality. Bluetooth® enables convenient hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming.
Two USB-A ports with charging capability (1.5 A) are available for connecting external devices. One is used for media playback, while the other is specifically designed for Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™.
With a maximum output power of 4 × 80 watts and high-quality 4-volt RCA preamp outputs for front, rear, and two subwoofer channels, the VMX1201DAB provides the ideal foundation for powerful sound systems. In addition, the unit features AUX inputs, front and rear camera connections, and support for analog steering wheel remote controls.
Customization options, such as a user-defined startup logo and RGB key and ambient lighting with animation effects, round out the extensive feature set.
