ESX QE812SP - 12 channel

ESX opened a new chapter in the field of high-end DSP with the award-winning QL812SP. Not only was the 1000 Euro QL812SP awarded as the best DSP "this side of the 2000 Euro class" (test result in Car & Hifi 3/2022) - it was also awarded internationally in Europe with the EISA AWARD 2022-2023 as the best DSP in the IN-CAR SOUND PROCESSORS class. With the masterful QE812SP, ESX is now setting out to surpass the QL812SP once again.

First of all, the question must be asked: Can the 12-channel QL sound processor be made any better? Very clear: YES. Because it is almost impossible to improve a QL812SP in the area of digital sound processing. This is because the ADAU1452 is already pretty much the best DSP chip from Analog Devices that you can currently get. And two of them at that. So ESX is stepping up its game with the new QE812SP model and adding a fully-fledged, stand-alone HD audio player to the DSP, which is now integrated into the device as standard. This means that virtually lossless audio formats (e.g. FLAC, WAV, AIFF) stored on a USB stick or other medium can be played directly. The highlight here is that these files are even better than CD quality, as the sampling rate for hi-res recordings is over 48 kilohertz and the sampling depth is greater than 16 bits.

The player is controlled via the wireless remote control supplied or alternatively via the high-quality, optionally available RC-QE wired remote control with large LCD display. The player can even be connected to a monitor or radio with a video input via the video output. The complete DSP can also be controlled via Bluetooth using a tablet or smartphone via the ESX DSP Toolkit app.
