The new technology is easy to explain: the DBX208BPQ dual speaker is designed as a bandpass system in which the sound pressure is emitted from a large port. The special feature of the design is the internal bass channel, which directs the sound either forwards or backwards. Depending on the application, the rear cover of the port, which is designed as a sturdy aluminum shield, can also be screwed onto the front opening. With this alternative installation, the rear duct opening becomes active and the entire sound pressure can be conducted directly through the ski bag opening into the passenger compartment. Especially in convertibles or notchback vehicles, the dual speakers can develop their full potential. Simply ingenious!
In addition to the conventional connection sockets, where the 2+2 Ω output can also be wired to a single 4 or even 1 Ω output, the box also has the innovative Quick Connect connection, which enables a plug+play connection with any amplifier via a 4-way Molex socket. This requires special Quick Connect connection cables, which are available in 4 different lengths.
