The DLS Cruise CRSB-16BM1 is a vehicle-specific enclosure subwoofer designed specifically for the BMW i4. It is installed under the cargo floor of the trunk, blending seamlessly into the interior without altering the stock appearance. The goal is to provide the vehicle with rich, deep bass reproduction that integrates harmoniously with the existing sound system.
Inside the carefully tuned bass-reflex enclosure, which has a volume of 11.4 liters, is a 6.5-inch woofer from the DLS Cruise series. The voice coil consists of four layers of copper wire on a Kapton carrier and is driven by a double-stacked ferrite magnet system (2 × 22.5 oz). This combination ensures low-distortion, fast bass reproduction with a usable frequency range of 25 to 400 Hz.
In terms of sound, the CRSB-16BM1 delivers warm, textured, and controlled bass that adds depth and substance to the soundstage without sounding intrusive or boomy. The tuning is designed to naturally complement the factory system and is based on hi-fi standards.
The housing is robustly constructed and features a protective hexagonal metal grille that reliably shields the driver from damage. The understated finish emphasizes its OEM character and ensures long-lasting, unobtrusive integration into the vehicle.
