Bronze - 2.0 MM

The Comfort Mat Bronze 2.0 mm is a high-quality aluminum butyl insulation mat designed to effectively reduce body vibrations and disruptive vibrations. It is particularly suitable for areas with light to moderate vibration exposure and provides the ideal foundation for a professional vehicle insulation system.

Thanks to the flexible butyl polymer layer combined with a sturdy aluminum foil, the mat reinforces thin body panels, reduces resonance, and creates the ideal foundation for subsequent soundproofing with absorber or insulation materials. Its high adhesive strength ensures a durable bond with metal and many plastic surfaces, while its waterproof construction also protects against corrosion.

The 2.0 mm Bronze mat is used as the first layer of insulation (vibration damping). It reduces the sheet metal’s natural resonance and prevents it from vibrating in sympathy. For maximum noise insulation, we recommend applying a second layer of a suitable sound absorber or insulation material. Thanks to its excellent malleability, the mat can be easily applied to complex contours and is suitable for both individual optimizations and complete vehicle sound deadening.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Remove the vehicle trim and expose the desired area.
2. Thoroughly clean the surface of dust, grease, wax, and dirt (e.g., with a silicone remover or brake cleaner).
3. Cut the insulation mat to the required size.
4. Remove the protective film and place the mat on the cleaned surface.
5. At temperatures below approximately 15 °C, the mat can be gently warmed with a hot-air blower to make installation easier. At normal installation temperatures, warming is not necessary.
6. Next, use a pressure roller to carefully press the mat down over the entire surface, ensuring there are no air bubbles, until it lies flat across the entire area.
7. For even greater sound insulation, a second layer of a suitable sound-absorbing or insulating material can then be applied.
