Ultrasoft - 5mm

The Comfort Mat Ultrasoft 5 mm was specially developed to reduce airborne noise, resonance, and annoying rattling noises in the vehicle interior. The high-quality polyurethane foam, with special polymer additives, adapts perfectly to uneven surfaces thanks to its memory effect, while also providing additional sealing for trim components. When used as a second layer of sound deadening over an aluminum butyl seal or vibration damper, Ultrasoft 5 significantly enhances the acoustic performance and contributes to a quieter, higher-quality sound experience in the vehicle. Due to its thin profile, the mat is particularly suitable for areas with limited installation space without interfering with the installation of trim panels.

Scope of Application

Installation Instructions

1. Thoroughly clean the surface and completely remove all dust, grease, and moisture.
2. First, install a suitable vibration damping material (e.g., aluminum butyl) as the first layer.
3. Cut the Comfort Mat Ultrasoft 5 mm to the desired size.
4. If the ambient temperature is low, gently heat the adhesive to about 40–50 °C using a heat gun or a hair dryer.
5. Remove the protective film, position the mat, and press it down evenly.
6. Then carefully press the surface down with a pressure roller to ensure a permanently secure bond.
