Comfort Mats Ultrasoft - 10mm sound absorber

The Comfort Mat ULTRASOFT 10 mm was specially developed to effectively absorb airborne sound and significantly reduce disruptive noise in the vehicle interior. The high-quality polyurethane foam, which contains special polymer additives, provides excellent sound absorption and, thanks to its memory effect, adapts perfectly to the contours of the vehicle.

Unlike aluminum-butyl insulation mats, ULTRASOFT is not intended for vibration damping but is applied as a second layer over vibration dampers that have already been installed (e.g., Comfort Mat vibration mats). This effectively reduces residual noise, resonance, and airborne sound, significantly improving ride comfort and the sound quality of high-end car audio systems. The mat is particularly effective at preventing annoying vibrations and rattling on large trim panels.

Thanks to its high flexibility, the ULTRASOFT 10 mm is ideal for vehicle areas with sufficient installation depth and wherever particularly high sound absorption is desired.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Thoroughly clean the vehicle's surface and remove any dust, grease, and moisture.
2. First, apply a suitable vibration dampener (1st layer) over the entire surface and press it down carefully with a pressure roller.
3. Cut the ULTRASOFT 10 mm to size precisely.
4. Remove the protective film and stick the mat onto the vibration damper or the designated surface.
5. Press down evenly and firmly. A roller tool can be used, but it is not absolutely necessary for the foam mat.
6. At low ambient temperatures, it is recommended to gently heat the substrate and the mat to approximately 40–50 °C to achieve the maximum bonding strength of the acrylate adhesive.
