Titan - 8mm

The Comfort Mat TITAN was developed specifically for areas of a vehicle with high noise levels and is one of the most effective multi-layer sound insulators in the Comfort Mat lineup. Thanks to its three-layer construction with an integrated acoustic membrane, it reduces airborne noise, resonances, and road noise particularly effectively. TITAN is used as a second insulation layer on top of an already-bonded aluminum butyl insulation mat and, in many applications, replaces the need for an additional third insulation layer. Thanks to its waterproof material and high-adhesion sealing adhesive, it is suitable for both horizontal and vertical surfaces and remains securely in place even under extreme temperature fluctuations.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Thoroughly clean the vehicle's surface and completely remove all dust, grease, and moisture.
2. First, properly install a vibration-damping aluminum butyl mat (first layer).
3. Cut the Comfort Mat TITAN to size.
4. At low ambient temperatures, gently heat the adhesive layer to about 40–50 °C to achieve maximum adhesion.
5. Remove the protective film and apply TITAN to the aluminum butyl layer without creating any bubbles.
6. Carefully and evenly press down on the entire surface with a pressure roller to ensure an optimal bond.
