Softwave - 15mm

The Comfort Mat Softwave is a high-quality sound absorber designed for demanding vehicle sound deadening applications and is applied as a second layer of insulation over previously installed aluminum butyl or vibration-damping mats. Thanks to its open-cell, microcellular polyurethane structure featuring special polymer technology, it absorbs airborne sound across a wide frequency range and significantly reduces annoying resonances and reverberation inside the vehicle.

The distinctive wave-like surface increases the effective absorption area and further enhances sound absorption. At the same time, the integrated memory effect ensures that the mat conforms perfectly even to complex contours and tight installation spaces. As a result, Softwave not only improves noise insulation but also enhances speaker sound precision and increases overall ride comfort.

Comfort Mat Softwave is ideal for areas such as door panels, the roof, the trunk lid, the interior bulkhead, and select interior trim components where airborne sound needs to be effectively absorbed. The self-adhesive backing features a moisture-resistant adhesive and ensures a permanently secure bond to the pre-insulated surface.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Thoroughly clean the vehicle's surface and remove any dust, grease, and moisture.
2. First, completely adhere a suitable vibration-damping mat (1st layer) to the car body and roll it firmly into place using a pressure roller.
3. Cut the Comfort Mat Softwave to size.
4. Remove the protective film and apply the mat as a second layer on top of the vibration damping material that has already been installed.
5. Press the mat down carefully and evenly so that the adhesive adheres across the entire surface. Heating is generally not necessary; however, if the ambient temperature is low, the adhesive can be gently warmed with a heat gun.
6. Install the panels edge-to-edge and avoid large overlaps to ensure even sound absorption.
