The Comfort Mat Skyline was specifically designed as a second layer of insulation and is ideal for areas where low weight combined with high sound insulation is crucial. Thanks to its multi-layered structure, it combines a sound-insulating membrane with a waterproof design, significantly reducing airborne noise and thermal stress. Skyline is particularly effective on vehicle roofs thanks to its high flexibility, excellent adhesion, and low weight. When applied over an initial layer of vibration-damping butyl material, Skyline noticeably improves ride comfort, reduces rain and wind noise, and simultaneously enhances the vehicle’s thermal insulation.

Quick & Easy – Assembly Instructions

1. Remove the vehicle trim and completely expose the area to be insulated.
2. Thoroughly clean the surface and degrease it with silicone remover or isopropyl alcohol.
3. First, apply a vibration-damping butyl mat over the entire surface as the first layer and carefully roll it out with a pressure roller.
4. Cut the Comfort Mat Skyline to size.
5. In low ambient temperatures, gently warm the mat to about 40–50 °C so that the adhesive reaches its maximum bonding strength.
6. Peel off the protective film, place Skyline on top of the first insulation layer as a second layer, and press it down evenly and firmly with a pressure roller.
7. Make sure the mat lies flat across the entire surface and that no air bubbles are trapped.
8. Afterward, the trim pieces can be reinstalled.
