Raptor - 4 MM

With Comfort Mat Raptor, you can specifically optimize your vehicle’s sound insulation after installing vibration damping. This innovative 3-layer material combines a high-density acoustic membrane with a sound-absorbing layer, thereby reducing airborne noise, road noise, and resonances particularly effectively. Raptor is used as a second layer of insulation over aluminum butyl or vibration-damping mats that have already been installed and, in many applications, replaces the need for an additional third layer. Due to its thin profile, Raptor is ideal for areas with limited installation space and, thanks to its high-quality adhesive, can be securely applied even to complex contours and vertical surfaces.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Remove the vehicle trim and completely expose the desired area.
2. Thoroughly clean the surface and degrease it with silicone remover or isopropyl alcohol.
3. First, place a suitable vibration-damping mat (aluminum butyl) on the sheet metal and roll it out carefully.
4. Cut the Comfort Mat Raptor to size.
5. In low ambient temperatures, gently warm the mat with a hot-air blower to about 40–50 °C to improve its flexibility and adhesive properties.
6. Remove the protective film and apply Raptor as a second layer over the vibration damping material that has already been installed.
7. Press the mat down evenly and firmly with a pressure roller until it lies flat across the entire surface.
8. Finally, check that all parts are securely fastened and reinstall the vehicle trim.
