Extreme - 3.5 MM

The Comfort Mat EXTREME 3.5 mm was developed specifically for areas of a vehicle that are exposed to particularly strong vibrations and high mechanical stresses. Thanks to its multi-layered sandwich construction—comprising a special butyl polymer/bitumen mixture and two reinforcing aluminum layers—it provides exceptionally high stiffening of the vehicle body panels. This significantly reduces resonance, rumbling, and structure-borne noise—even with high-performance car audio systems or SPL vehicles.

As the first layer of insulation, EXTREME provides the ideal foundation for professional vehicle customization. It increases the rigidity of the sheet metal, minimizes natural vibrations, and creates the optimal base for subsequent foam or absorber materials used for airborne sound insulation. Thanks to its high adhesive strength, water resistance, and corrosion protection properties, it is suitable for both everyday vehicle use and demanding high-end installations.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Thoroughly clean the vehicle's surface and remove any dust, grease, and moisture.
2. Cut the insulation mat to the desired size.
3. Heat the Comfort Mat EXTREME to approximately 50 °C before installation so that it achieves its maximum flexibility and adhesive strength.
4. Remove the protective film and carefully place the mat on the sheet metal.
5. Use a pressure roller to roll the film evenly and firmly until the entire surface is free of bubbles and fully adhered.
6. To maximize the damping effect, completely cover as large an area as possible of the sheet metal that is prone to vibration.
