Blockshot - 8 MM

The Comfort Mat BLOCKSHOT 8 mm is a high-quality, multi-layered sound insulator designed to effectively reduce airborne and road noise in vehicles. The combination of a high-density acoustic membrane, a sound-absorbing intermediate layer, and a highly adhesive butyl adhesive layer ensures significantly improved noise insulation across a wide frequency range. BLOCKSHOT is not applied directly to the sheet metal but is used as a second insulation layer on top of an already installed aluminum butyl or vibration-damping mat. This effectively reduces residual vibrations, airborne noise, and resonances, and noticeably improves ride comfort. The material is completely waterproof, does not absorb moisture, and is therefore also suitable for demanding installation locations within the vehicle.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Thoroughly clean the surface to remove dust, grease, oil, and moisture.
2. First, apply a layer of vibration damping material (alubutyl) completely over the sheet metal and roll it on carefully.
3. Cut BLOCKSHOT to the desired size.
4. At low application temperatures, gently warm the mat to approximately 40–50 °C to improve its flexibility and adhesive properties.
5. Remove the protective film and apply BLOCKSHOT as a second layer over the previously installed aluminum butyl.
6. Press down evenly and firmly over the entire surface with a pressure roller to ensure optimal adhesion.
7. Then reinstall the trim and ensure there is sufficient installation space.
