Atom Bomb - 4.2 MM

The Comfort Mat Atom Bomb 4.2 mm was developed specifically for areas of a vehicle that are exposed to particularly high levels of vibration and resonance. Its multi-layered construction, consisting of a high-performance butyl-bitumen blend reinforced with aluminum, ensures exceptionally high stiffness and reduces structure-borne noise right at its source. This effectively minimizes annoying panel vibrations, improves sound quality, and simultaneously stabilizes the vehicle body.

As the first layer of insulation, Atom Bomb provides the ideal foundation for a professional soundproofing system. It significantly reduces vibrations—especially on the vehicle floor, wheel wells, front panel, or heavily stressed door areas—and creates the optimal foundation for subsequent sound absorbers or insulation materials.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Thoroughly clean the vehicle's sheet metal to remove dust, grease, and moisture.
2. Cut the insulation mat to the desired size.
3. Before installation, heat the mat to approximately 50 °C so that the material conforms optimally to the contour of the sheet metal and achieves its maximum adhesive strength.
4. Remove the protective film and carefully place the mat on the sheet metal.
5. Next, use a pressure roller to roll over the surface evenly and firmly until the entire area is bubble-free and fully adhered.
6. If necessary, a second layer of sound-absorbing material (e.g., foam or acoustic insulation) can then be applied.
