The AWAVE AWV650C is a vehicle-specific 2-way component system designed to enhance the sound quality of various vehicles from the Volkswagen Group. The system combines a 165-mm mid-bass driver with a separate 25-mm fabric-dome tweeter, making it particularly well-suited for replacing the factory-installed speakers.
The low-midrange driver features a synthetic fiberglass cone and a 30.5-mm voice coil. The sturdy plastic basket and powerful neodymium magnet drive result in a compact design with an installation depth of just 41 mm. This allows the AWV650C to be installed even in vehicle doors with limited space.
A separate 25-mm Tetoron fabric tweeter is used for the high-frequency range. It covers a frequency range up to 22 kHz and, together with the low-midrange driver, forms a balanced 2-way system. With a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, the AWV650C is suitable for use with compatible factory radios as well as with aftermarket or DSP amplifiers.
